The act of seeing, recording and expressing my own interpretation of what I find in the world has always been important to me. My works are varied in form yet related on many levels with my primary focus on everyday life and its infinity of views and fleeting images. For me, the camera offers the opportunity to preserve these moments that are often overlooked by so many others, and to successfully communicate the universal rhythm of nature as well as its interconnections with man-made forms. My hope is to awaken in others a desire to tread more gently on this delicate Earth. If I can influence even one person to take a closer look at the diversity of life, all of which depends on our respect for its survival, I will perhaps have served as a catalyst for others to also become aware, and in turn be a part of the dynamic process of truly making a difference.
I have lived in New England for all of my adult life and find much of my daily inspiration in the land and sea around me. I work primarily in natural light using digital mirrorless cameras. I also enjoy creating sculptural pieces in stoneware which are primarily hand-built, functional and unique.
I currently reside in Scituate, Massachusetts and my work is held in private collections locally as well as nation-wide
