Kathy Mogayzel

Printmaker

Kathleen Mullins Mogayzel has been working in the printmaking medium for about eight years. She describes printmaking as “the means of expression that fulfills my visions and ideas.” Many of those visions begin in nature. Her move to the Herring River offered her an immersion into the natural environment that includes tidal marshes and wildlife. This environment has been the main source of subject matter for her artistic creations. She collages natural materials onto mat board to create collagraph plates with relief textures and images. She has been motivated and inspired by Esther Maschio, a well-known and well-loved instructor at the South Shore Art Center in Cohasset.
